For one time have seen the same happen here, but it was for several years ago. Hubby noticed that a squirrel was carrying something rather big something in her mouth - it was a squirrel mother who was moving her pups to an other nest. The squirrel mother made the trip back and forth for two times (at least) from tree to tree without landing down on the ground. That time there was a squirrel nest in front of second floor window on the forest side of the house.
Oh dear how small the squirrel babies are!...dieses Eichhörnchen im Maschpark von Hannover hat keine Nuss zwischen den Pfoten! Ganz liebevoll trägt es sein erst wenige Stunden altes Baby ins neue Nest.
