What a treat! Jono is on the nest for night!
He flew at 18:43 with huge crop. Looks splendidly.
Now he is tucking in his nook due to rain.

Ernest Porter announced on FB , that Jono has left the Botanical Garden area. Last time he was seen on December 12th.

Thulane and Emoyeni often visit the nest, they sleep on the cliff close by or rest on the palm tree.

But today there was the special visitor. There is a plan to improve camera and batteries.

Camera was placed higher, so we can watch the nest from above. But there is no sound.

Today I watched climbers instead of eagles. They moved the camera, connected cables etc. and did a lot of work.

The site has announced that the new HD cams have been installed and are working (not at the moment, it seems) and the breeding season 2015 has begun. I will close this topic which went with us through two years and start a new one for the new season! We have seen two beautiful Black Eagles grow up and have been able to follow them until they left their parent's territory. My thanks to everyone who contributed to this topic here, I hope to meet you again in the new one.
