Nature does nothing in vain (Aristoteles)
Hi,
even if it is not yet actual: in the list of active cams I don't find the Latvian ospreys' Ulla and Uldis cam - are we not going to follow their nest this year?
And when about will the Estonian osprey, black storks and WTE cameras become online?

Hello Owlie,
the "ESTLAT" project is finished, Ulla/Uldis nest was a part of it. But we hope that there will be a possibility to follow them again, if Latvian ornithologists coninue broadcasting it. Hope is high, as we can already watch the Latvian WtE-nest from last year, too
About the other Estonian nests - referring to the beginning dates in previous years, some cams might open soon.

I don't know if I'm in the right place
Here, I answered this:Kukelke wrote:@Agatheb2k, thanks for the pics, but that's Ilmar on his nest. This topic is about the Piret & Madis nest ;)
Sorry, I followed the first link to the forum from this page: Kalakotkakaamerad Eestis, and I was looking at this cam: http://pontu.eenet.ee/player/kalakotkas2.html
[*] After verification, a link on the site is really wrong
[*] Click on the osprey's tab
[*] 2 cams, and 2 nests, it's OK
[*] Under the first cam (Ilmari & Irma), when I want to go directly on the corresponding forum
[*] ... I find myself unwittingly in Madis & Piret's forum

No, you don't! I think it is because the osprey discussion topic was originally one for both nests and was separated only later.

Thank You, Hellem!
Could somebody explain me - a simple visitor - what are these grey robots [..bot] attendances on the threads?
For example Google [Bot], Majestic-12 [Bot], Baidu [Spider] etc

Robots (or "bots", "web spiders" or "web crawlers") run by search engines that index the forum so that the contents of the discussion is available through the search engines.

And we allow it by all means, I suppose ...

You cannot prevent that on a public forum anyway. It's slightly odd that the bots have real user accounts though, because it allows them to also gather the user information available to logged in users.Owlie wrote:And we allow it by all means, I suppose ...
