Freesia has already reached its wintering grounds, Ethiopia. Florek gave the last signal on October 3, he was on the Nile near Luxor. The Sahara before him, and contact was cut off. We hope that he flew over the desert and he will answer when he reaches the Sub-Saharan region.

VIDEO
Jak zbudować gniazdo dla bociana czarnego? / How to build a nest for a black stork?
https://youtu.be/XcO_4CDe43E
By KKO , march 2022

In January, during hurricane winds, an old and dry oak with a nest of black storks in the Sieraków Forest District fell over.
It is a great loss, because the stork stand in this place has been operating for 24 years! For the last three years, an online broadcast was carried out from the nest as part of the Storks in Forests project. Good practices for the protection and management of the black stork population in forest areas no. POIS.02.04.00-00-0154 / 16.
For almost a quarter of a century, this place provided safe and effective breeding for storks, members of the EKK made an artificial nest on the neighboring healthy oak, exactly at the same height as the previous ones. As stork nests are large and weigh up to half a ton, we used steel supports and a basket filled with natural material from an old stork's nest. We hope that the storks will accept the new nest approximately 5 meters away from the previous one.

Bocian czarny Online Puszcza Notecka

13:27 Arrival female :loveshower: welcome back black beauty :innocent:

"NOTEK, the black stork from the Notecka Forest, returned to its forest, where it had a nest on an old and dry oak. The nest tree overturned in January. The bird now landed without problems on a completely new artificial nest built by ornithologists from the ECC a few meters away on another, this time a living and healthy oak. We hope he will serve him for many years to come. The stork probably feeds intensively after its migration and we will soon be able to watch it like every year.

he is working on the nest since the stream has started!

The nest is situated in oak tree in the forest managed by the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Lodz. The live stream is the result of cooperation of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Lodz and the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz. This Black Stork online educational project is intended to educate viewers by showing nature in a real fashion. Thus, anything can happen. We do not intend to intervene. We observe, admire and let nature take its course. More about the project
