An adult female with two wedding rings visited the nest of King Prince and Sparky. One of them is a typical white plastic ring with the numbers TH16 and we managed to read it. The second is a black ELSA-type ring with the marking of a German ornithological station and numbers. In Poland, instead of ELSA wedding rings, we put metal wedding rings on black storks. Only white storks get the ELSA type because they cool their legs with their excrement, which black storks do not. Yesterday, the prince rejected the advances of a female who comes from very far away, from as far as Bavaria, from a distance of about 386 km! This stork, as one of four chicks, was ringed on June 14, 2018, by Carsten Rodhe, a famous ornithologist who studies black storks in Germany. Congratulations!

Good morning sove and mogga! :hi:

Yes, indeed, the first egg of Tonik&Tonichka was laid probably on March, 23, 35 days ago. Now it is clearly talking and may hatch rather soon. Last year Tonichka laid the first egg on April, 3 and the first storklet hatched on May, 8.

Fortunately this nest is not available for goshawks.

Good morning asteria

Do you know of a site where I can find some information on T&T? I can't find much on the internet. :book:
Is the female spelt "Tonichka" (not Tonicka)?

The female spelt as Toniฤka in Chech or Tonichka in English. You can find detailed information about T&T on the forum of Marika: https://www.ciconianigra.sk/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=185

At 12.26 there was a very loud eggtalk.
