It's so hard to find the webcams! I cannot find this webcam...too bad it's not on the first page of the forum that also took me a while to find. Everything I found for a while were 2012 and 2013. Where can I find the webcam for this site?
Thank you.
Thank you.

I just was in the Latvian forum - there is written that Dr. Ugis Bergmanis said, that this was a sign that the egg was not "alive".

Oh my! What a season! I hope it is true that it was not fertile! The suspicion was there ...

What a sad end this was, even if we had a strong feeling that the egg was not going to hatch:(( But when I saw that Metra had not been in the nest for a while today, I feared the worst:(
Metra and Macho did their best under the circumstances, but this year was very difficult. Now they can relax, hunt and enjoy the summer before they return to the south.
I wish this lovely LSE couple all the best, and hope to meet them again next year, and under much better conditions <3
Thank you to all involved in this project, and to the Latvian forum for information

I still think this end is better than possibly watch a chick hatch and die of starvation! But I also think a fertile egg ready to hatch would have not been left alone to be stolen by another predator! Sad, but next year, new chance!
