But in Looduskalender they tell that at the last picture was an adult stork. That is not correct.
That was definitely one of the storklets!

This is a young storklet, with beak and legs still black and not completely rose.

Do you know what is their itinerary and destination for the winter ?

Hello Abigyl !

The exact destination I don't know, but their itinerary will be via Belarius, Ukraine, Rumania, Bulgaria to Istanbul.
They will cross the Bosphorus, and fly via the Turkey, Syria, Israel to Egypt and..........
Some will stop in Sudan, others will fly to Southafrika! It is enormous what they are going to do!

Don't you know the migration map of Looduskalender?
There you can follow every day the route of eagles, cranes and black storks who have got a data-logger on their back.
The present date is on July 14. Probably no bird is migrating yet.

We once visited the Sea of Galilee in March, 3-4 years ago, and met 3 tired storks heading north. They were brown from the dusty desert winds. When I think of it now, I'm asking myself if they were the parents or gr-parents of our family ????

well a small group, estimated in spring crossing the Strait of Gibraltar about 300.00 copies in Spain about 40,000 remain, the rest reparaten across Europe

Yup.

Actually, there may be 387 storks because I cannot remember if I have counted all three storks in the "triplet" somewhat to the left and up from the middle of the picture as two or three.

It was a nice idea to put the tawny owl cam to new use and have an insight into a white stork nest! Thanks to everyone in Estonia and I'm glad the technical part did actually work so well until the end of the season!
