In Sydney WBSE SE26 will be/has been euthanised, due to deformed right leg and unhealed fractures in left leg. S/he will suffer no more. RIP brave little eagle!

Oh, poor bird. Maybe it was the best that SE26 landed on that balcony and was thus taken to the vets, else it would have suffered
a lot of distress in the wild.

"5th January, 2021, Daisy Duck (as our chatters call her) has laid an egg in the middle of the Sea-Eagle's nest (hidden under leaves). Ducks practise delayed incubation, so she will likely add another egg each day till she's ready to incubate......BUT.....as you all know this nest has two very large owners. Dad and Lady spend much of their summer at Goat Island or their River Roost at Ermington, however they do visit. We haven't seen them for a couple of weeks so they are likely due to visit again soon.

In 2011 a similar story didn't finish well. An eagle came to the nest and ate all the eggs and the duck left.

the parrots told the duck that this was a bad place. And the duck understood everything, flew away and did not return. Good luck to her in a new place.

we have not long to wait. 1-3 february
25 days for ducks. January 5 - the beginning. But there was a lot of lack of duck in the nest. Maybe a little later 25 days
