I think the position/direction of the cam has changed  The nest seems to be closer and especially it is in lower left corner.....

Cam down?
batteries lasted 9 days..
there have been quiet in the nest for severel days. what do you think, will we end the season and say goodbye to Sulli and Kluti? we should check our equipment there and try to fix it (to the cam we will climb after month or so to not disturb the adults who would stay around the nestsite during the winter) and make preparations fot the next year, adults start to build the nest already in December or January

It is a lot of work for you to change batteries all the time. A pity to close the cam of course - now that there was summer green again in the new view of trees :innocent: - but it should be up to you to decide.
And thank you for all the work!
Where are Sulli & Kluti, do you think - near the nest, or gone to look at the rest of the world? Do young eagles ever visit their hatching nest the year after or later?

Its ashame that you cant be blessed with solar powered cameras so you would not have to do the batteries so often.
However, viewing from 7500? km away to me it looks like the dense forrestry would not provide a good location for any solar panels to power them :banghead:

actually we have solar panels (2x130w) there but the inverter is broken and panels do not charge the batteries.. but we can change it and will put the cam also in different position (spring sun was too strong for our eyes  )

Sulli and Kluti are probably somewhere close to the nest, somewhere on the coastline and learning how to fish. or maybe somewhere far far away, who knows. They probably might want to return to the nest in following years but then their parents do not let them be there as we saw in spring.
