Fish Camera 2015

Post by Felis silvestris »

For the second year a camera was placed at a river, actually in the water, to observe the spawning of trouts.
A GoPro camera was placed inside an aquarium and through it the activities of the trouts and other fish can be watched.

At the moment not all technical problems are solved. The stream may still have stops and hiccups. The experts are still working on finding a solution.

We have received permission to show some photos of the set-up of the camera at the stream in Estonia. With many thanks to our webmaster for the friendly permission:

It is still tested, stream will still be breaking and stop. It will not work continuously for that time.

Have a look at the first post!

There are at least 8 Sticklebacks but they are difficult to count.

And now something completely different: Pebble Collecting Man.
Image

He chased away all the Sticklebacks and then it turned out that there were much more than fit in one screen. 20-30, many coming from the right.
Nice to see that noise (hammering) outside the water had no effect on the fishes.

Yes, incredible, just like in the earlier animation I made. At normal speed it is very difficult to see how many sticklebacks there really are.
