If you wish to follow the leaving of the E's in pictures, you can follow the official recordings on the Hancock Wildlife Forum of SWFL:

For me this is the most wistful season leaving the eaglets to fly free an soar high - do live with full crops and open eyes E18 and E17   :eagle: :eagle:

Ooooh, what a season this was !!

Now our miracle "babies", E18 and E17, are on their own, so early and well prepared for their life, from their outstanding parents Harriet and M15.

May they have a long happy life, full crops and fly always high up in the sky under a lucky star :headroll:

Owlie, thousand thanks for the wonderful reporting - you did a really great job  :2thumbsup:

Thank you balistar, for your kind words - nice to hear to have given something to someone :D

It has been a pleasure to share updates of this my favorite nest - especially I have enjoyed to post the excellent ground crew photographs - I am a photo enthusiast myself, too.

Here some more memories of the precious E9 from 25th March 2017:

M15 Is Home! Harriet Too! ~ Securing Their Territory 08-12-21
It was a quiet early morning in the nest tree pasture with no sight or sound of Harriet or M15. A Red-tailed Hawk, Loggerhead Shrike, Cattle Egret and Blue Jay visited the pasture while I watched for H & M. Then an adult eagle was seen on the cell tower across the road, so I went behind the shopping center to see who it was or if H or M were nearby. Sure enough, Harriet was in a pine tree left of the cell tower, vocalizing to the "neighbor" eagle perched on the tower. She didn't stay long and flew into the stand of trees. I found her (by vocalization) on the other side of the trees as well as M15. It was so good to hear and see them both! (This is usually the time period I first see the two of them together again.) I may not see them together again for a while as we only see them occasionally until they "get busy" preparing for the new nesting season later in September.

Harriet Fishes The Pasture Pond/The OCT Has Fallen 08-30-21
On arrival to the nest tree pasture I saw that the OCT (old cam tree) was laying on the ground, intact with roots. The rains have been frequent and heavy as of late, so the saturated ground is most likely the cause of the snag toppling. The OCT snag (dead tree) was the tallest & the favorite perch spot for the adults. As sad as it was for me to see, I take Harriet's lead of adapting & "going on" and know I can adapt too.
Later the White Ibis families scattered from the snags (as I watched a Red-tailed juvenile hawk hunt under a tree) signaling Harriet's arrival to the pasture & pond to grab a fish and take it to the church tree to eat. She returned to the leaning palm at the pond, watching the water and the surrounding area. A large bird flew over and H alerted but did not pursue it.
M15 was not seen but I am sure he is nearby. Soon enough we will see both more often in the pastures as their desire to prepare for nesting season increases.

Let Season 10 Begin: A Stick, Greenery, A Chase & Bonding 09-05-21
Harriet & M15 were perching in the nest tree when I arrived this morning. I listened to their mutual vocalizations waiting for the morning light. Harriet dropped to the nest before dawn and M15 brought the first stick for this season before sunrise. They worked in the nest before flying to the west pasture to "check out" Nest 2. As they watched their territory in a west pasture snag, M15 went after a Cattle Egret and Harriet joined in the hunt. The egret got away, 'laying low' in the retention area across the road. M15 watched for the egret to reappear as Harriet flew across the road behind the shopping center to have a morning discussion with the neighbor eagle on the cell tower. Not long after, M watched H return to the nest with greenery for the nest, a pine bough sprig. Harriet then joined M15 in the front pine and their behaviors showed them strengthening their bond... watching & vocalizing together as they perched side by side. There was even an attempt at bonding under the guise of mating by M until H reminded him it was only September. 😉 Both tracked a bird flying south to north and they both flew NW out of sight. Let Season 10 begin with nestorations off more than on until later in September.
