A silent visitor was on the down nest and taking a sand bath .... I am not 100% sure, but I think it has a ring on the left ankle

Bea :hi: , I guess your video shows at 01:40 a ring on left ankle.

Riitta :hi:

Glad you see it, too!
And I think short before it takes off again and turns around once more, ring is visible again.

Nice pics, Mamicja, thanks.

:loveshower: Great pictures, Mamicja! He looks like Leo... with those ear tufts held almost vertically... He usually looks like that.
Thanks!

Good, that you keep a record of Leo's visit and conversation with Lotte, Bea. Thanks for sharing with us. :gathering:
I think, Leo looks good after the tough summer - season.

Yes, I agree. Leo looks beautiful! He is still a kind of mystery for me...
When I visited this cam, there were only 2 members of family night by night - only Lotte and Cutie. I could hear few time owls u-hu somewhere but that was all. Only you (more experienced observes) could be sure that in this family also "male part" is present. :rotf:
For me it was like observing a widow with the small half-orphan chick ...

So when you post here videos with Leo, I am always exited that HE really exists! :loveshower:

Hello Lubaska, :hi:

I can understand all, what you write.
Last season was a special season...
Nothing really works good for our Eagle Owl family. Without the great support of Stefan Brücher  the situation would be different.

And now Leo shows: the season 2016/17 will come.

Yes, he shows up every now and then, our Leo :D
So today in the morning at 07:20, on the down nest place. Audio recording is bad on this place, hard to hear - but he hooted a bit and stayed not long. When he took off the upper cam panned over the ledge, but he was not visible there.

Hey Leo,
great, that Bea records all your visits to the nests - and comments them.
So we all can enjoy it. :gathering:

Leo was here until 20:07 (appr.), when he left a nest bowl ... and then Lotte flew in few seconds later...

(But I think so only because of difference in their voices)
