Badger Castle on Saaremaa - 2016 -

Post by Felis silvestris »

The animal of the year 2016 is the badger. For the third season we are able to have a look at the badger's burrow (or castle) somewhere deep in the woods of Saaremaa, the biggest of the many Estonian islands. The camera is located in a distance of about 500 m from the deer winter feeding place.
Maybe this year we are lucky to get a sight of young badgers, the camera started work early enough to have a chance. At the moment we still don't know if it is still or again the home of the two badgers Kadi and Tõnis.

Fleur :hi:, it seems to me, that it's not a badger, but an uninvited guest in the badger castle, a raccoon dog :innocent:

Thank you for the video

Unfortunately, I can not make a video.
The same story as last year.
That SONY camera in badgers castle and my computer, there is a conflict.
why and what. I do not know. VLC does not work properly.
