Last season came to a quite sudden end when due to the spreading African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Estonian woods the feeding of wild animals was prohibited from October 1st.
We hope in spite of this sad happening in the woods, we will be able to watch our bear camera again and maybe also get to see some surviving wild boar in front of the camera.
The camera is placed in a remote spot in Alutaguse, which is a large forest area in north-eastern Estonia. Largely untouched and dense woods and bogs which are the home of a variety of rare animals, the largest bear population of Estonia, wolves, lynx, elks, the rare flying squirrel, golden eagles and white-tailed eagles, osprey, jack snipes, western capercaillie, black grouse, beavers, otters, foxes and raccoon dogs ... of which we have been able to spot quite a few in front of the camera.
