It's evident that Irma and Ivo have decided to put their offspring on a diet to be more fit for flying. But why on a day when it's hot +26 and the only way to get liquid is a fresh fish.

Hello
Figured I'd finally break my silence with a question. There was a moment on the camera today, between 17:31 and 17:32 that I thought would make a great gif - I'm sure you can figure out what happened.
But sadly, unlike the other nest, there's no Youtube stream which is easily rewindable, and with the mkv file in the archive I can't skip ahead in VLC so I'd have to wait hours and hope I don't miss the moment.
Am I out of luck?

Rujasu, welcome to the forum
In Sappheira´s video you can hear warning calls of a parent bird, immediately before Ivar went flat - perhaps a stranger or another bird that caused a threat was around in the air (unvisible for us). Maybe you have to turn your volume high to hear it ....
Thank you for the video, Sappheira!

WOW - Ivar made a decision today
Now that he dared to fly on the cam support I wonder when he will decide to take off for his maiden flight on a longer round

As Ivar made his first short flight up on the cam stand today and so is quicker than the earlier hatched osprets on the other nest, I wondered whether his only-child-life could be the/one reason for it .... no food competition, better and faster development .....?
