The last couple of days the wind made a lot of noise. Now the noise is made by Whooper swans.

I have watched every day, but with the new wind today the cam often stops.
Out of sight the eagles are still calling many times a day, probably breeding.

Hi,
I think my employer has blocked the site because of data transfer. I accessed it without problems on my iphone. But I don't see any eagles :-( what was the day they have appeared last year?

Do you think they will come to this nest this year? I have just checked and last year at this time they had already 3 eggs.

Here is the opinion of Urmas Sellis, an eagle expert in Estonia: http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/node/1144
The article is not available in English so far - but hopefully it will be translated soon. Worth to keep an eye on.

It is likely that Anna and Uku built a new nest, Urmas writes. The ornithologists did not find the nest in winter, but it is possible that the eagle couple built the nest only in spring. Although there will be no breeding this summer, the cam will be on, to spot visitors and to provide nice background of sounds :)

The article also says that hopes were high for the Latvian (Durbe) eagle nest, but probably no breeding can be seen there either. Urmas recommends the Norwegian eagle nest where eggs are already present.

EDIT: I checked again in the afternoon, and now the article is translated: http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/en/node/1144
Thank you!

Probably not much eagles in close view this year, but the sound quality of this cam is pretty good. The pleasure of listening will improve when the summer-visiting songbirds arrive.
The only problem is the wind, causing noise and interruptions of transmission.

also the Danish and the Hungarian eagles have eggs already, so lots of little bobbleheads are hoped for. :2thumbsup:

Many thanks again for all who work here, who take care of eagles and those who run this site. I have never lost connection, hoping to hear about our beloved eagle family, they were great.
It's nice of Urmas to share his thoughts about the nest and the family. I appreciate also all alternative nests proposed. :2thumbsup:
