Oh, you have me misunderstood, sorry! I only meant, my partner and I signed this petition.
And we both have already signed so much petitions, but many are not successful, sadly.

I just signed the petition but I fear it will not help.
Good luck to these migrating birds - we want to see them all again in spring!
Karl, Katie, Uno, Usin, Tali, Ivo, Irma, Daimar, Daisie and all other European birds - I have watched them all this seaon. May they all be safe from hunters and other obstacles.
Well, they are not.
Please prosper and survive!
These white headed eagles (Romeo & Juliet) are my retreat for now (https://www.nefleaglecam.org/). These eagles are very special as a pair and will have their mating/egg laying season soon (early November). They are hilarious when building the nest (= stick wars).
Enjoy!
Best, Monika

@Birdfriend
Thank you - I know
Just wanted to post the link to this cam here as some empty nest syndrome sufferers may not be aware of this beautiful couple just beginning their nesting season

Camera was streaming for some hours today and at 13:34 two WtEs had an issue about something .... look at these tree tops in the video ... all in quite a distance.
There was not happening much after both of them had landed in the tree tops, maybe the one in the dry tree in the middle of the pic made some movements
as if it was eating something ....
It took off at 13:37 and flew over the nest, light conditions were not the best, I could not see anything white at the end of the tail feathers, so maybe a juvenile bird ....

This time a WtE chose the dead tree as a place to have its meal ...
16:15
Arrival with prey (fish?) in its talons
16:22
After it had finished its meal it left the dead tree and was "diving" away under the nest tree
As far as I noticed it, cam began to work in the afternoon ....

The cam works. The red trees look beautiful in the sunshine and a small bird is sitting on the dead tree. Sweet memories ....

Yes Summi, nice memories are back and always comes the anxious question up, hopefully our Ospreys are safe. Almost every day I visit the empty nest of our small family (depends if the webcam works). I also take a look at Matis nest, meanwhile a green paradise. Feathered visitors pass by and make the nest more lively. The trees conjure up a fantastic landscape with their colorful leaves.
I also want to say a big thank you to Bea, she provided us with beautiful pictures and nice videos.
I hardly can wait until March, April next year.
Greetings to you all
Jenny

A visitor arrived on the nest .... I think it is an Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus), maybe juvenile, it was on hunt. When it left the nest it must have been near the cam, out of view.
In the dead tree were some birds - the Sparrowhawk saw them and flew over quick as a lightning and tried to catch one of them ....
Arrival
A bit jumpy

Wow Bea,
I've missed this sparrowhawk. He has a very beautiful feather dress. You can see our Osprey nest is never alone. It is always nice to watch all the visitors.
Thank you for the pictures and video.

Another visitor, this time a Common Raven (Corvus corax), it only made a short touch-down on the nest and left again.
Later is was sitting in the dead tree for a while.

You mean Irma, Ivo, Daisi, Daimar? How do you know? They have no transmitters, so they were spotted and recognized by means of their ring numbers?

mogga, I think Joanna meant Karlis and Vadim in Sudan, and Markus and Kalle in Congo.
You can find them on Birdmap

Ah, I understand, aquiline.
I still didn't deal a lot with 'birdmap' so far.
I find it a little difficult to handle. But probably it's not so complicated, I have to be patient learning to handle it...
