Thanks, Sapheira for the revived memories of spring! I really hope that the fate of the osprey 718 went well.

Hello everybody! For 3 years I follow here with you many topics and especially the ospreys. It's a lot of fun to read and I learned a lot. Thanks for that! I signed in now, but unfortunately I have to go to the Google translator ... Sorry, if sometimes it's not perfect.
I am eagerly awaiting the return of the Ospreys. Is there any news?
Greetings from Northern Germany by Polly!

Hello and welcome to the forum, Polly
Looking at the dates from last years when Estonian Osprey cameras went online and the first ospreys came home, we still have to wait a bit until things become "serious".
I heard no details until now, probably yet no one of our Eaglemen from Kotkaklubi was at the nest trees and knows about their condition after the winter. Sometimes it happens that the trees got damages after the cold season or nests are completely or partially down.
So still a bit patience is necessary

Thank you for yours welcome! Unfortunately, some Ospreys do not survive the migration, and for me it is both anxiety and longing tension when the first birds return.
Unfortunately, it is probably not possible to keep track of all the juveniles ... I remember Anna and Uku. The little ones suddenly had to "grow up" when the nest broke. Even if the parents took care of the kids.
You always want to know how everyone feels.
Thriller pure... .
I hope we have a wonderful and successful season together with all our birds (eagles, buzzards, Uhus and so on)!

Hello everybody, Hello Polly!
Do you remember my day-by-day slideshow from last year?
Until the camera is back maybe someone likes to watch it again and reminisce about the osprey family while waiting...

hello mogga! Your video is great! It brings back many memories of beautiful moments. I found the time particularly exciting when Daimar fledged. He was somehow a special sweetheart ... and Daisy, the ever-hungry. 2 very individual Ospreys and a very great Ivo. I hope the family is doing well.
thanks mogga!

Hi everybody!!!
Mogga, Thank you for this wonderful slide show.
My tears flowed from my eyes, looking at our birds and especially on the little ones.
I am glad that the forum lives in anticipation of the new season, rather the camera showed us the picture of the forest of Irma and Ivo

Hello Osprey friends,
a new year and the Looduskalender page has chenged to a different format.
Every morning I check if the webcams are already switched on, but everything is still offline. Hopefully our ospreys will come back safely to their nests. Can hardly wait.
Greetings from Jenny

Hi everybody
Great to meet you all eagerly waiting for the new season. But I tell the migratory birds in my mind 'Don't hurry. Take your time, we try to be patient'

Bea, thanks for your information! And you are absolutely right!
When you're so impatient, you do not think about it .... But it would be really hard for the animals right now.
They are clever. How do you know that she is awaiting the destination of her trip?
Fascinating!

A friend living in Southwest-France told me six different ospreys have been spotted there yesterday and today.

Hello Bea and all of our Osprey friends,
the weather shown in your picture is just horrible for storks and ospreys, also for other flying birds. Hopefully our Ospreys survived and arrive very soon to their nests. Every day I check the webcams but they are still offline.
I don't know the route our Ospreys are taking, but I have seen frozen storks in Bulgaria and Romania.
Hopefully after Easter the weather is getting warmer.
Wish everybody a Happy Easter
Jenny

Dear osprey fans - I need your help, please
I think to remember that one of you made a table/overview about the dates when Irma arrived/left the nest from/to migration over the years and posted it .... Sappheira, was it you? Or am I remembering wrong? I still know that I wanted to add this to the introduction posts, but I obviously forgot about this
Maybe one of you all still remembers this and can give me a hint about the post or in which timespan it was posted, I´d like to add it to this years´ introduction.
Thanks in advance!
