Out of sight.
A few times today I had the feeling that Frīdis was contemplating to just take to the wind and fly off ... they grow up so fast!

Betina comes with a rodent. No one at home. She waits and flies away.
She comes back and Fridis comes out of the tree. Fridis eats the rodent.
Later Betina comes with fresh branches. Fridis observes this.
Fridis jumps back up to the tree
Betina flies toward the tree, then back into the nest on the branch above the nest. Fridis can not be seen.

Good morning
Like the previous mornings, Frīdis is jumping around on the branches. I saw Betiņa in the early morning, also on a branch.
08:03 - The beautiful heart pattern on Frīdis plumage..
08:04 - A good stretch...

08:13 - After some minutes, she turned around, ant took a good stretch at the other side..
08:14 - ....before she spread her wings, and jumped up to the upper left branch.
It's not easy to get a picture of a whole Frīdis these days, it's more often a wings, "feet"/claws, tail, back or just a headless front
(at least for me:-)

Hi everyone!
You are right, Lussi, whole Frīdis seldom is available
Here with Mom or Dad?!
Alone
In the edge, the cutie
Now he has eaten something, I don't know what it was, no frog, something bigger, and sits in the nest for resting like a chick.

Betina? brings something, looks like a frog
Fridis is not so enthusiastic, it eats very slowly
Then jump down to the left on the branch

22:12 - It's getting dark. A bird is sitting on the branch, Betiņa? It's too dark to see. It's moonlight in the background, very nice!

09:21 - LSE call, but it's quite windy, so it's difficult to know how near.
If the translation is correct, Uģis Bergmanis has written in the latvian forum that Frīdis (also wrote Frida!! ) has taken her first flight today. She has been in the nest earlier this morning. Betiņa arrived with a frog at 07:39, but no Frīdis showed up.
From the latvian forum:

I hope someone from the latvian forum, if they visit here, can correct me if I'm wrong

Yes, so it is. Uģis has heard voice of Frīdis in the morning near from the nest tree.Lussi05 wrote:09:21 - LSE call, but it's quite windy, so it's difficult to know how near.

Congratulations to Frīdis, good luck with your first flight, our beautiful and proud Lesser Spotted Eagle
I hope she will return to the nest.
18:42 - Empty nest, and it has been empty every time I have checked today.
Edit:
It has been a great pleasure to follow this LSE family - The perfect parents, Betiņa and Betiņš, and the beautiful eaglet, Frīdis. I wish them a long and happy eagle life.
Thank you EVERYONE, for making it possible.
Frīdis - now you feel the wind under your wings <3

It was clear that it will happen now any day. Frīdis was already more flying than jumping ...
Wind under your wings, Frīdis, a good and long life to you and your offspring! Be careful!
It was a great pleasure watching you growing up!

I just found a video of the ringing. I don't think it was posted here before.
Fridis was fearlessly attacking the bag and tools of the ringer. Very brave. Must be girl

Marfo, thank you for posting the ringing video, I will watch it later
18:09 - I opened the cam, and what do I see? A hungry Betina, and a begging Fridis
18:12 - Begging...and at the end..
Betina had to step aside, or jump, and a hungry Fridis took over the prey.

yeah Fridis is back
Bettina came with a frog, but then found something bigger in the nest. I could not see it well, could be part of a rabbit.
Later, Fridis jumped off the branch and first ate the frog, and then Betina also gave her futter.

18:17 - Betina took off, and Fridis was watching her. It sounded as if she was collecting twig for the nest, but when she came back, I didn't see her bringing anything.
But here it comes, aspen leaves I think.
