Betina came with this, the other was already in the nest. In any case everything is ok and they have enough to feed

06:54 - Fridis is busy with breakfast, and Betina is sitting on Fridis branch :-)
The nest is filled with aspen leaves, Betina did a lot of housework yesterday.

Somebody is sitting on top of the camera and has a closer look

Frantic calling from top. Then one parent flew into the tree on the back and for a while only calling.
Immediately an eager Frīdis came down
and received a frog, nearly pushing out the amazed parent (I could not really make out if it was Betiņš)
Now, after the frog snack, a lot of calling and jumping around the branches on the right side

Yes, Dad brought a frog and Frīdis was sort of picking at it - can't be really hungry, food was coming in one after the other, when Betiņa came with her frog. Frīdis is quite aggressively kicking out Dad, but also makes sure that Mom is not too close. First frog had to go in one go and then the second was taken care of.
Frīdis must have flown off the left branch after a while and now Betiņš is waiting with a frog since quite a while, even called. Frīdis is flying around somewhere and keeps on calling, don't know if s/he does not find the nest or is just having fun.
Betiņš looks tired, and takes the chance to be on the nest without being kicked out right away for a rest.

A very wet bird (Dad? Mom?) brought a frog
Frīdis comes and eats it fast.
11:15 He goes to an upper branch after eating.

Good evening
From earlier this afternoon:
15:00 - LSE calls was to hear, sometimes two. At one point it sounded like Frīdis was getting food out of the view of the cam.
15:01 - A LSE (Betina?) arrived, and sat down on the branch to the right. Frīdis continued to call, but didn't show.
15:03 - Betina was in the nest and grabbed a frog, she was looking like she was expected Frīdis to arrive, but s/he didn't, so Betina ate the frog herself.
15:08 - Betina grabbed another frog that was lying in the nest, and ate it too. All the time Frīdis was calling. I have to say that I wonder why s/he didn't come, with all the food.
15:11 - Betina was done eating, and jumped on the branch to the lower left (Frīdis branch:-) By the sound and direction of Frīdis call, and the reaction of Betina, Frīdis was flying by.
19:51 - Some fresh aspen leaves has been brought to the nest, I hear cranes calling.

15:35 I hear human voices and footsteps. Several people, one man is talking all the time. I guess it's an excursion.
15:43 they are moving on.

10:42:39 a very loud bang, maybe a gunshot. Many alarmed birds: cranes, black woodpecker and also LSE. So they are still in the neighbourhood. It took the animals a long time to calm down.

There are now three LSE cameras, I see. Will there be a topic for this new camera?
