Conclusion: there must have been three females and one male. "Love quadrangle", says the author
Thank you Trine  will read and hope can understand what translator tells me.

:hi: IceAge! What a curious day yesterday

Now there is one more story about the yesterday´s events: http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/node/1272
The interpretation is slightly different: the bird who removed the eggs was male (not female, as in the previous story). They refer to brood parasitism (the females who laid the eggs wanted someone else to bring up their offspring).
It is complicated

If I understood correctly, the story still implies three females and one male: two females with plans to practice brood parasitism + a decent couple of nest owners who are still planning to start a family.

Trine in this box all is complicated

Seems the talking female now blocks the box, so nobody can come in
For 2 or 3 times a starling came in and she always is the winner

Only a short report from today.
In the morning male brought several times nestmaterial, talking female sometimes followed him.
Then talking female decided to stay in the box for a longer time, seems now she blocks it. If she leaves the box for some minutes, sometimes male comes with nestmaterial till talking female comes back.
Have seen several attacks against her, but sadly not much to see who comes in. Maybe it was the male with material, I don't know. It's hard to under stand all

April 28

The soap opera goes on

10:02 Strange female (maybe from yesterday) lays an egg
10:05 Male comes and chases her out. He comes back and ... egg has gone

His favourite female comes in and lays an egg

Egg is still there, more later

oh, talking female just comes in ... she picks at it

 she takes the egg out :faint: :faint:
that was always my fear

Something is definitely going wrong in this nest. Since last year, when the clutch of great tits was robbed.

Oh, such little birds are so stressed. This situation is not good for a clutch, so pity.

10:53 Female sits in the window
10:58 Male comes, she out and male in with nestmaterial. He looks at the egg, unsure what to do, 4 times to the window and back to egg.
Image

11:00 male out
11:01 Talking female comes in, picks the egg.
Male comes in and chased her out

11:02 Male back, rolls egg around and out

11:05 Talking female is back and removes egg from starlingpair
Image

11:07 Talking female comes in and out
11:08 Talking female back, controlls every "corner" (maybe she looks for more eggs)
11:25 Male comes with nestmaterial, defends window and out

Now without time or pics
Favourite female comes in for a check, but her egg has gone. Male many times with nestmaterial and talking female was for a long time in nestbox.
It's a pity, even if talking female would lay an egg ... don't believe male would accept it.

A video (sadly it stucks a bit) from 19:37 ... again male tries to chase talking female out

:offtobed:
