Visits from 21:17 to 21:21

21:17 I hear his calls, just wanted to shut down the laptop and thought that he would definitely come back to the nest - and there he was.
Back into the hollow ... throw up earth, gnaw something ... call ...
21:19 Bubo jumps to the edge of the nest and calls on.
21:21:14 He starts to rock. I was confused. Thought there was something with him. :slap: No, he probably imitated a movement with his body, followed something.
21:21:16 Bubo plunges into the dark to pursue.

But now .... :offtobed:
I hope I don't miss too much. I can't rewind the night tomorrow.

Please, which bird (?) is that ??? :help:

I would be very happy about an idea! :2thumbsup:

Edit:
It didn't leave me alone. I have it. It was the Tawny owl (alarm call).

Visits from 19:06 to 19:15

Bubo has had a very quiet day today. There was a lot to hear but no bubo.
06:38 nagging near the nest (sounds not familiar to me, no blackbirds, no crows) Then very often today the crackling in the undergrowth (like 06:40, 09:33 - 09:48, from 12:50 ... sometimes a rustle)
13:23:23 calls a buzzard
19:04 I hear Bubo for the first time. The cracking again.
19:05 a moose runs through the picture and where the moose was running, Bubo comes flying. :innocent:
Image

19:06 he lands on the nest edge and calls vigorously.
Image

19:07 he jumps into his nest for his rituals.
19:10:12 - 19:10:23 again this monotonous call like yesterday. (resumes a few moments later.) Which bird is that? :help:
19:11 our Bubo is again in front of the nest beach and his calls seem even more energetic. :)
Image

19:15 he leaves the nest. Bubo's calls reverberate until his next visit. In between with some stressed calls and different voices. :)

Visit from 19:31 to 19:34

19:20:08 cracking again, from 19:20:52 louder and in addition sounds of an animal. Can it be the moose?
Bubo was heard all the time. :)
19:31 it lands directly in the nest and does not lose any time for nest care. Nibble again, plow, call ....
Image

Image

19:33 he calls again into the forest in front of the nest edge.
19:34:20 start after an interesting discovery.

21:02 - 21:12 (approximate time stamp)
I have spooled several times and I think I can hear the call of the Tawny owl further away. But is there more? It sounds to me like a lot of sounds ... howl, howl, tawny owl. .. maybe my ears and nerves are just overwrought? I can't separate the sounds. They blur in my hearing.
Can someone help?

No call from Bubo, by the way.

21:36:28 dogs, several. Funny time for walks.

Good day to all Bubo friends :2thumbsup:

March 24th

Visit from 06:05 to 06:06

I could rewind the time until 04:04 and Bubo's voice was just in my ears. :)
Even further away, 04:18 closer, but soon after that his calls stopped (04:20).

04:05:12 ... the mysterious crack in the undergrowth 05:43 to 05:47 :whistling:

Bubo calls up close. Further away until 05:59. 06:02 again until arrival in the nest at 06:05.
Bubo is in a hurry. When he arrives he chuckles a little excitedly, but his expectations seem low.

:/
Image

Hops into its hollow, dodges briefly and turns towards the Nestrand ... calls and is gone faster than I can be happy. :slap: :rotf:

I only hear his calls until 06:08.

The day goes on ... without seeing Bubo (of course) and without his calls.
In fact, his diurnal calls are decreasing. Yes, the time of effort is coming to an end and I'm honestly happy in a sad way. Bubo has another lonely season ahead of him. This advertising costs him so much strength. Physically as well as mentally. Now he should draw strength for himself. He needs it to survive.

The day comes alive ....
6:29 a half-hearted hammering of a woodpecker (black woodpecker I once heard?)
06:59 The mistletoe thrush sings into the day. :2thumbsup:

09:35 .... Martin would be asked here. Crested tit? Long-tailed tit? Definitely a titmouse and I always find it amazing how impressively loud these little birds can sing. :)

13: 09: 40-43 the listless woodpecker again. :whistling:

Fantastic mamicja!

How cheeky these ravens ... but that's well known. If Bubo doesn't have a female, then at least something to play with. :rotf: His ear feathers ... wow, straight up. Bubo in great excitement.

Great unique moment. Thank you! :2thumbsup:
