Beaver Camera on Saaremaa 2017

Through this camera we hopefully will see the life of beavers.
There is visible beaver´s lodge(home) on background, where just now should live pregnant female, male and some last year´s offsprings(kits).

I had the cam open last night and was focussed on the sounds only, as my eyes already were too tired to observe .... and only the sounds are incredible ... ducks were quacking, tawny owl calling, dog barking, some water splashing from whom? - when the ducks were swimming close to the cam one could think that a big boat was ploughing the water .... absolutely interesting that all

I agree, Bea, It is a great cam if only for the sounds. It reminds me of the Great Bittern cam which hopefully will run also this year.
The infrared is also very nice!

Composition and quality of the view of this cam are beautiful, also at night, but the sound disappoints me. That most of the birds are far away is what it is, but the cheap microphone makes it worse. The mike is also very exposed to the wind.
A cam with not much visible activity needs a good sound to keep me attached to it.

Nice catch. I have seen several bats (or several times the same).
And in the dark not only calling Moor frogs (Rana arvalis) but also Common toads (Bufo bufo).

yes, Common toad i've seen
Bufo bufo to hear and 23:59:30 beaver, splash of its trowel.

The soft 'whoop' in the background is Moor frog. Sometimes one was also very close.
