Yes, the siblings are bigger. Let´s hope the best for the last chick.

Yes, Summi, they left so fast all in the same day, unexpected...
It always becomes so empty when nest becomes empty...

Thanks for all comments and pics from fledge day here. It's really amazing, how fast it goes. I know that all must fledge within one or two days, because like Hellem wrote, parents most likely would no more feed only one chick. It is a very hard work for them they all to feed outside. It was very interesting to watch, how the life is from great tit in the nest. In my garden in this season has also great tits bred.
Impressive is how the TLO managed it to jump so high to the window and then flies away...I hope, TLO can it make...although I readed, that from eight only one survive the first year...

First time they will be fed by parents too but outside, even if there are a lot of insects and worms around, they will be sit and wait for feeding.

The quiet times after the chicks leave the nest ... and outside the noisy flock is moving around. When they visit the tree outside my balcony, I always enjoy their chatting and fluttering.

Recently I came across a story about a slightly different nest box. One guy in Munich, Germany, has converted a discarded ticket validator into a nest box: https://www.mvg-mobil-blog.de/fundstuec ... schen.html
Great tits are nesting inside already the second year

To "our" babies a happy and long life!

I could only see, how the visitor left the box.

Image

He is back. There is a hole in the bottom, where he comes in.

Image

:puzzled: or he sleeps under the bird's nest. It is a warm place. We will see  .

There is no hole. It comes in and slips under the nest.
