October 7th

Good evening everyone :hi:

Today, our Waba has crossed Bulgaria.
S/he seemed to enjoy flying along the Black Sea coastline, partially over the water. 8-)

Waba is currently just across the border, southwest of the village of Boztaş in the European part of Türkiye

Boztaş is a village in Demirköy district of Kırklareli province in Türkiye.
History: the old name of the village is of Bulgarian origin and is mentioned as Krachenovo in the 1912 records and as Kireçnova in the 1928 records.

Waba's flight over (or near) the The Princes’ Islands (in Turkish called “Adalar”), a group of islands that lie 20 km southeast of the Bosphorus in the Sea of Marmara.

A view on those little islands 8-)

The Princes' Islands (Turkish: Prens Adaları; the word "princes" is plural, because the name means "Islands of the Princes", Greek: Πριγκηπονήσια, Pringiponisia), officially just Adalar (English: Islands); alternatively the Princes' Archipelago; is an archipelago off the coast of Istanbul, Turkey, in the Sea of Marmara. The islands constitute the municipality and district of Adalar within Istanbul Province. With a total land area of 11 km2 (4.2 sq mi), it is the fifth smallest district in Istanbul, and with a permanent population of 16,690 (2022), it is by far the least populous district in Istanbul.
Adalar District is made up of the main 4 Büyükada, Kınalıada, Burgazada and Heybeliada islands and the other smaller islands. (Wikipedia)

Please be cautious, Waba.
The whole wide area and the huge fields north of Konya are full of electricity poles and overhead power lines.

Today we can see Waba already in Israel, northwest the Sea of Galilee :shake:

That´s how Waba crossed the Gulf of Iskenderun

As his flight data contain a lot of fake flights I hope I am right that this is his last real location point

Thank you, Bea

I am relieved that Waba (almost) got through all those dangerous war zones unscathed.

What terrible things we humans do to each other, the animals and our planet?!

Yes, I think you correctly determined Waba's last known location.
Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan is a known fake location! Spoofing.

Be cautious, dear Waba. 🙏🏼

Thanks, Bea :hi:
I prepared a few pictures.

Yesterday 13 October, our Waba was searching for food in the fishponds northwest of Heftziba

Heftziba is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located on the boundaries of the Jezreel and Beit She'an Valleys between the cities of Afula and Beit She'an, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gilboa Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 758.

In the late afternoon Waba flew to the Basalt quarry of Kibbutz Beit Alfa, east of Beit HaShita.

Beit HaShita is a kibbutz in northern Israel, under the jurisdiction of Gilboa Regional Council. As of 2022 it had a population of 1,275.

October 14th

Hi everyone :hi:

In the morning, our Waba flew from the quarry to the same area as yesterday and has again been looking for food in the ponds northwest of Heftziba and Beit Alfa.
In the afternoon s/he flew to the well-known ponds north of Neve Eitan.

Once more, we see several ghost flights to the Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan.

Waba on the fish ponds at Neve Eitan, and on its night area, at the confluence of the Jordan and Harod streams.
Image

The Harod Stream (Hebrew: נחל חרוד, romanized: Nahal Harod, Arabic: نهر جالود, romanized: Wadi Jalud) is a stream in Israel that flows west to east, from the Givat HaMoreh area via the Harod Valley and Beit She'an Valley into the Jordan River, about two kilometres north of Ma'oz Haim. It is the main drainage route of the Harod Valley.

No data received

October 16th

Hi everyone :hi:

The forum was down due to technical issues.
But it seems to work well again now.

Hurray, our Waba sent data! :headroll:

S/he is still in the same wide area.
Last known location is near the fish ponds north of Mesilot.

Messilot (Hebrew: מְסִלּוֹת, מסילות, lit. Tracks) is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located in the Beit She'an Valley near the city of Beit She'an, it falls under the jurisdiction of Valley of Springs Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 484.

I’ll prepare 2 tracker maps later in the evening, one for yesterday October 15th, and one for today.
