Mesilot is the home of “Wire Ropes Works Messilot Ltd.”, one of the largest producers of wire rope in Israel and the Middle East. The kibbutz also engages in various forms of agriculture, including livestock (milking cows and raising chickens), a fishery, an orchard, plantings of olives and dates, and other vegetables.

North of the Mesilot fish ponds - not far from Waba's last known location - is a small National park, on the Harod Stream

The Kantara Bridge over the Harod stream, is a perfect place to see the strong flow in rainy seasons, or to enjoy a pleasant picnic or coffee in the field, near the Harod stream, which flows slowly during the rest of the year

Harod Stream drains the Harod Valley. Following heavy rains in the area on February 17th, 2024, the flow increased significantly. In this video we visit several historic sites along the gushing flow:
A. The "Kantara Bridge", dated to the Mamluk area (mid-13th to early 16th centuries), which served as an aqueduct.
B. The "Old Bridge", an Ottoman bridge from the 19th century built upon remains of a bridge from the Roman times.

The Harod Stream travels for 32 km in twists and turns until it flows into the Jordan River. The Harod Valley is known as the 'Valley of springs' because of the many springs in the area. The stream flows between many fish farms and cultivated fields.

No news on Waba today either.
Presumably s/he will not report again until spring.
We'll keep an eye on OrniTrack anyway.
