That's timing!
Yesterday, I was curious if the storks had already returned/are already on their way back. I checked the map for the first time since months and I became a bit concerned, that only Waba's transmitter responded... Today, there are news from Karl, let's hope the best for him and his family! :loveshower:

He is travelling, and soon we will see more data of him.

a pity that Karl II has immediately entered another area with bad accessibility... But I guess he'll be back as soon as he reaches Israel, at the latest...

I'm getting a little nervous about Kaia... Shouldn't it be time to hear from her as well?

As soon as he reaches Israel we will see more of him!

Regarding Kaia: Last year she arrived about 1 week later than Karl II in Estonia. Therefore I am not yet getting nervous.

We got some kind of 'hickup data' from KAIA :D

I can´t make a tracker map with only one data point, but I can show you where this new point is on the map

Last location point shows a point from 10.10.2022_14:30

This is the last 'bigger' tracker map we could make on October, 16th, 2022, data were sent by SMS

Not a big amount of new informations, not taking us very much forward, but I wanted to let you know that at least something is happening ...

and welcome back to our wonderful Kaia! :headroll:

It's just one data point, but it shows that she is well after this long break, and judging by where she disappeared last autumn, she also has already travelled quite a distance. Looking forward to more data!

Now Karl II should hurry to get back home, so that he can present a good-looking nest to Kaia! :mrgreen: Hope he reappears soon.

First of all it is great to know that both Karl II and Kaia are still alive, just these data themselves bring some relief.
Then we will be biting our nails further, until both show up again in Estonia...

We received one single location point from KAIA on 20.03. 16:35 UTC. She is in Sudan south-west of Khartum. It looks like the same spot as yesterday.
