14:37-14:46 It goes on after that.
Lost of noises from the forest floor: footsteps, branches breaking and moaning.
Boar, maybe? Or moose?
14:58 Yelling, hunters probably.
15:01 Gunshot, again a little later.
So the moaning were dogs, I think.

Solo thanks a lot!
in have translated the whole article:
For some time now we are talking about storks, but we come up with some notable highlights :)
In January of this year, together with black stork enthusiasts, we searched the Virkus forest and found several nests as a result of this activity, one of which was clearly a black stork nest. We mentioned this nest once in the summer in relation to the number of big storklets. At that time we mentioned that this year was probably the only one in Latvia with more than three Storklets.
But now that the season is over, another important fact regarding this successful nest has come to light! This is the first nest recorded in Latvia where chicks could spend their childhood for more than 100 (!!!) days! So far, the largest known childhood spent in the nest was 91 days.
In the Virkus forest Nest the Storklets were for at least 106 days! This forest is special because there were no disturbances. No forest walkers, no forestry work. The birds could be at peace with their own time and live pace.
The male fed these storklets until September 3, and as so often over the past few days, he has overfeed them.
....... Three Storklets were fledged from this nest because one of the four was hunted by a Goshawk. This makes this by far, the most successful nest ever documented by followers. Many thanks to the enthusiasts who helped find it!
Another message that has nothing to do with the previous one - this year, the storks offered their chicks to eat, for the first time in the history of observation, eels! The largest eel was at least half a meter long. So far, eels were not seen in the Black Stork menu.
The third and last news - Nesting - trip will be organized this winter :) So stay tuned - as soon as everything is in sync, we will let you know when and where to find these precious and unknown black storks!
EDIT: a small part is missing, the translation did not make sense in English or German!

I have documented the nest rebuilding here. Each branch that has been brought is video-documented.
Maris was at a conference. He wrote :
......to my knowledge this is THE first ever documented nest building. The most important aspect of it is ......!
I have to say that makes me a bit proud.

Solo, there is no essay on this conference yet. We only have the elaboration of his lecture. He has to check first my data. He finally has the data, I'm glad about that, but somehow the stick does not seem compatible with his computer. He needs a PC specialist. I should keep the data stored on my PC.
good thing takes time
