20:52 She is poking in the nest bowl
No idea what she is doing. Is she cleaning the nest?
20:55 she flew away. I think Grincs followed her. The call sounds farther away now

Hello everyone!
I lurked here half the season and wanted to thank all for the wonderful reporting! It was a joy to watch all the daily updates.
As a small thank you, I wanted to share a special find on YT.
Nordi has made a beautiful video about Grincs!
The video is absolutely stunning, and I’m sure you all will enjoy it greatly.
We have arrived at the beginning of “empty nest” season and a good video
is just the thing to lift our moods.
If Nordi happens to read this message,
I want to express special thanks for your tribute to the lovely Grincs!
Your videos are always superb!

Isn’t it a beautiful tribute (to a no less beautiful eaglet) ?
I knew the members here would love it.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe Nordi is a member of the forum here.
It would be wonderful to learn how this video was made.
The intro with Grincs the older and Grincs the younger is so professional.

What an awesome video. Thank you Ari19 for pointing it out. This is a perfect blend of art director Nordri and the star Grincs.
All 'our' birds are special, but for me there are some birds which are a wee bit more special or unusual than the others. Among them are Karl II, the dedicated BS male, Shadow of Big Bear, the young affectionate Bald Eagle father, Sulev, the wise competent WTE male and now Grincs, this extraordinary LSE girl.
May we all live long enough and be fortunate enough to maybe see her in 5 or some years when fate lets her raise a chick on a nest with camera. This is a humble wish.

Ari, Nodri is a forum member.
thank you for the video Link.
For me the season isn't over yet. They migrate in mid-September. I wait with my tribute to Grinc's and family till they leave.

Liz01! Good to see you!
Thank you for letting me know that Nordri is a forum member!
I am so happy to hear that.
Hopefully, Nordri will see our words of appreciation and continue to make more of these beautiful videos!
Solo! Good evening to you! Thank you for the info!
I didn’t realize, btw, that the Lesser Spotted Eagles are also migratory.
Do they go very far south?

Ari, you're welcome
LSE: The Lesser Spotted Eagle is a strictly migratory species that spends the winter in Africa south of the Sahara.
A satellite-tracked juvenile covered 6000 km from Latvia to Sudan in barely a month, remaining there for over 6 weeks, before continuing to Kenya. - https://avibirds.com/lesser-spotted-eagle/
I followed one adult LSE female 3 years - her wintering area was South Africa and Mozambique (here much infos: https://holubecml.maps.arcgis.com/apps/ ... 77c95cd889 - this year raised also one chick )
btw. here video by our Liz - the beautiful Estonian LSE chick visited the nest on Aug. 23 https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 30#p690230 - still here :-), maybe

Good evening to everyone!
Nordry asked everyone to convey his words: Solo, Ari19 --on the forum, unfortunately I am not registered (I do not like language barriers, many nuances remain out of understanding) But I am an active reader of the LK and DD forums.

I'm sorry, I confused Nodri with Fanlen00. She also is a Russian (and a forum member. )
BTW: Maili, the Estonian LSE eaglet can be heard every day near the nest. today she is calling since 5:58 till now... 7:59.
rockdove, I was overjoyed when you came here in this thread. I really enjoyed your posts and pictures. Thank you for your great work here. Maybe we'll meet again next season. I would be very happy.
