Usually the camera is running smoothly early in the morning. If you wake up at 6, you will get these moments too.
I'm working late at this hour or something.
It's a bit annoying because I only have 2 devices and would like to run the nest as I wrote before without having to restart it every 2 minutes.

I am looking forward to your reports and will continue to try it anyway. :2thumbsup:
As Felis Silvetris already wrote ...they are really engaging, a completely new experience for me and I am curious if the move of the camera from WTE to this nest will be successful. I wish it!

Thank you for your confidence in me.
I'm however sorry to say that I have to finish translating a novel by tuesday, so I don't know if I have much time for the nest the next few days. But I promise to try. :D

We have all here learnt at some point of becoming forum member here, and we still learn, this is what makes this forum and the cameras so special. We learn from each other and we share what we know and learnt. Even if this is not the first season for me here, I enjoy and learn again, because each nest is new and different and each bird has a different character.

:hi: Good morning!
No eagles yet, but a wild boar family has been having breakfast around the tree since I opened the camera at 5:46. The soundscape has been really special. :D

It is 11:35 and I haven't seen or heard the eagles the whole morning. :puzzled:

You probably meant this in the other LSE topic. Unless she visited this nest too.

16:13 At long last I hear eagle voices and mating sounds at that.

16:17-16:30 Female on the nest, preening and looking suspiciously at the camera.

Mary Jane and @all :hi:

I have the camera running since 16:59 camera time and since then their calls are to be heard.
17:04 a rustle as close as if it was very close to the micro of the camera.

I was about to write a report even if I only hear her and haven't seen her.

And still she calls.
How can you tell if it is the female or the male? (Call)

Thanks for the pictures Mary Jane!!!! Great your timing.

Polly! :hi:
I don't understand the difference in voices, but I know the male left and the female went behind the camera
and started calling. Without the visuals I would be absolutley clueless.

The photos are from my recordings. With the camera skipping 3-5 seconds at times,
I only wish I had that kind of timing. But I was trying to get nice shots for you.
Those moments.

18:40 Both on the nest.

18:41 Mating on the branch.

18:42 Male doing nestwork, female calling.

18:43 Another mating attempt on the branch. Male left after the mating. Female seems to have stayed in the nest tree.
She is calling from time to time.

About the calls, unlike WtE they don't have different voices as far as I know. the "mating" calls are quite easy to "understand", after you have once seen a mating on a nest. Otherwise, they have earned their German name for a good reason, they have something or the other to call about all the time and they keep on doing
Mary Jane, your picture of the female looking into the cam - hilarious :rotf:

Thanks, Felis silvestris!
She was posing like a professional model (by eagle standards). I mean she had the walk, definitely had the talk (we've all heard that) and then the cold stare to finish off the look.

On a more serious note: I'm really still hoping for them to have offspring in this beautiful nest, but is it getting a bit late now? :puzzled:

Good morning!

5:53 Eagle calling from time to time.

Nest seems to be improved by some new green branches that were not there yesterday.

Mary Jane, it's good to see you. =)
Hadn't I read that you can't be on the PC? I was just about to give an interim report.
I've had the camera on since noon and let it run until dark.
Unfortunately no sounds or sightings yet.
However, I have transmission holes. I don't know if it's my connection or the camera. :puzzled:

I hope for the evening!

Greetings! :hi:

Still not all hope is lost. On one of the Latvian LSE nest the first egg just arrived 15 minutes ago. :shake:

:hi: Polly, Felis silvestris!

Great news about the latvian pair. Gives some hope.
I have been away from the computer today, in the hospital, and have no idea what I've missed, but the last calls I heard were around 7.15. A call and a distant answer.

Polly, I watch the cameras at https://pontu.eenet.ee when I am on my phone, but I can't record or pay attention that much.

Hello both of you! :hi:

Unfortunately I have the problem that the stream is almost not running anymore. We have now tried it on 3 devices ...it loads and loads and loads.

How is it with you?

I have great hope =) but without stream I can't be there when they visit their nest.
