:hi:

According to the signs there can be earlier happenings to be expected than the earlier years, quote from the cam page:
Although Gabby has laid her eggs mostly in January, based on their recent observations we believe she will lay her eggs earlier than the past two seasons. Last season she laid her first egg on Dec 31 and second egg on Jan 3. This pattern was 2 wks earlier than their first season. Therefore, we believe she will lay her eggs likely 2 wks earlier than last season (likely this week). The recent "red meat" diet is a switch offering great nutrition for embryos. She is definitely in her fertile stage with frequent matings, preening her feathers constantly and much time in the nest. BTW.....signs to look for once Gabby is in labor: She will appear intense and be somewhat hunched over and appear to be supported by her wings. She may appear restless, quiver or shake or rock a bit. She may vocalize softly (well, maybe not softly for Gabrielle!) and/or she may slightly open and close her mouth repeatedly. She may ps in the nest. Her back feathers may rise, and her back spread out some. All eyes are on deck when she's in the nest. We will likely schedule a Bonus Chat soon after she lays her first egg unless it's a scheduled chat day, so stay tuned! All the best is yet to come!! WE ARE ON OFFICIAL EGG WATCH!
:2thumbsup:

She stays near the nest

Thank you, Liz, for the videos.
I've not noticed, that Sam lands with fish. I was busy with making the shots and was watching all time to Gabby. She was some hours in the bowl and at the nest before she finally was laying...It's always amazing how they sense, when the time comes...
