Silver birch

 

 

There are no golden autumn birches to recall from memory for many years – ever brownish, in addition some yellow hues. This year with its rainy and warm weather doesn’t favour birches going golden.

 

For birches scientists emphasize the global warming aspect: by every decade the time that the trees are in leaf has been prolonged by roughly a day. The simultaneously increasing content of CO2 may influence too: globally estimated to about 0,4% each year.
