The white-tailed eagle pair has had their share of problems during the incubation. On March 18th hooded crows demolished one of the eggs that had been left on their own for just a moment. From our computers we couldn’t predict whether the second egg remained undamaged after the pecking of the crow but the eagles obviously believed that they should go on incubating.
The eagle chick started to hatch on Tuesday, April 14th and the egg was laid on March 9th; the egg laid two days later became the prey of the crow….
