Such a show would remain unseen by us if Marec had not installed a high-quality camera with lighting in the nest box for the birds. A great tit settles down in its night quarters after sunset and finally creeps into a ”sleeping bag” of its own feathers. I have not found any similar video on the internet.

 

In the Looduskalender winter bird camera the great tits were always the first visitors at dawn, sometimes with quite fluffy plumages but that was tought to be due to cold mornings.
