Cuckoo.
The regular “cuckoo-clock” calls of the cuckoo can be heard everywhere now, but sometimes there is a harsher sound too: something like “ku-krääh”, as if it had got a sore throat in the middle of the “cuck-koo” call. Astonished people stop short and ask, is that really a cuckoo? Yes, it is – the cuckoo croaks when it is excited, because of another cuckoo or some other disturbing thing. But it will soon be calling “properly” again.
