Mating blackveined whites on fern.
The first blackveined whites have already been seen. The black veining on their wings is curiously translucent, and makes fascinating patterns. There are other white-winged butterflies in the Pieridae family: the large or cabbage white, the small white, and the mustard white. They however have black spots, or black tips on their white wings. When they fold their wings, pretty dark veins show on their wings too.
