Wild carrot.
The carrot subspecies, the wild carrot (Daucus carota subps. carota), a near relative of our garden carrot, flowers in June; it can be seen in the grass in gardens too. Usually we never see the flowers of the carrots in the vegetable garden, we pull up the roots already in their first year for eating. The root of the wild carrot can’t be used for food, it is woody.
