Common snipe.
The snipe (Gallinago gallinago) and other waders are getting together in shore areas, and for bird-watchers this is the time to go to the seaside with binoculars to study the birds fattening up before their long flight. At the seashore there is any amount of nourishing marine invertebrates to be had just now.
