Folk names: ussimari (snakeberry), hundimari (wolfberry) , hullukoeramari (mad dog berry) , karumari (bearberry) , kullimari (hawkberry), seakihvt (pig poison)... Threatening, all of them. A quite commonly occurring plant, but not very numerous where it grows, in meadows and in damp forests. All parts of the plant are poisonous and particularly the black and shiny berry.
