Baneberry.
It is a quite common plant in our most fertile, humid and nutrient-rich and shadowy forests. Seldom seen on the forest fringes. The large compound leaves remind a little of hogweed leaves. The black berries are glossy, juicy and very poisonous when ripe.
The folk names siumari and ussimari (both meaning snake or serpent berry) hint at similarities with poisonous snakes.
