Great tit.
The best known winter bird at bird feeders and our most numerous bird in winter – the great tit, that weighs up about twenty grams. In the mornings it is the first guest at the feeder, even in darkness their doings can be heard although not yet seen. Usually it is then a bigger male bird there. They can be distinguished from female birds and the juveniles with not yet completely developed plumage by the black and broader belly stripe although it isn’t an infallible sign.
