Chanterelle.
Early summer mushroom time has arrived, and why not – the weather has been favourable. Plants development is clearly more advanced than usual. In southern Estonia chanterelles were there some weeks earlier than normal, and only a little later forest ramblers in the north too got their chance to have a taste of mushrooms. Birch boletes (Leccinum scabrum) and red-cap boletes (Leccinum aurantiacum) have landed in the frying pan. So far this year has favoured pickers more than beachers.
