What might be wrong with the newly laid egg, such a blotchy one?
Nothing is wrong, osprey eggs are cream-coloured and speckled in purple. A full clutch has two to three eggs and incubation time is quite long – more than thirty-five days. Hopefully we can observe what happens ourselves. Let us keep our fingers crossed that all proceeds nicely for the osprey pair.
