In the Alutaguse forest it is already quite dark at around 8 o’clock in the evening but you can still make out the shape of things.

 

The brown bear is a legendary animal in the tales of our ancestors and seeing it is an adventure even through the camera.

This winter four cubs were born to our bear mum; by now they are eight months old. The "family" keeps away from the adult male bear. Autumn is used for fattening up, there are berries, seeds, mushrooms, roots and even ant hills in the forest. Crop fields are mostly cleared, except the fallow fields where the wild animals move. Abandoned apple orchards are visited too...
