By today there are five eggs in the nest box  and four of them the female laid each subsequent morning. In case of passerines it may be noted that the female uses about 60% of her daily energy need  for laying an egg.

When then might the incubation start in the nest box or with how many eggs? The starlings generally have 5 to 6 eggs in the nest but the start of the incubation is still complicated to determine since the bird may rest in the nest without incubating too. Attentive camera viewers notice that
