The chevron occurs in the whole of Estonia and is quite common. We can meet it in conifer or mixed conifer forests, thickets, gardens and elsewhere too from mid-July to the beginning of September. In the rainy weather of last weekend the moths did not of course fly much.

The golden-rod brindle is on the wing in conifer forests and moorlands from the beginning of August until the middle of September but it is not encountered very often in Estonia.

At the end of the video a stranger comes to inspect the burrow surrounding but finds it best to leave quickly, just in case ...
